A lady
called in to a radio show host with the following story. She said,
my neighbor called up and asked if she could help her sew her son's Halloween
costume? She said, "Yes."
While she was sewing it, she asked the
neighbor what type of costume is it? She said, "It is a Harry
Potter costume. My son has been good and I promised him one if
he was."
"That is just great," said the
lady who was doing the sewing. "Now what happens if he does
something bad? You are naturally gong to correct him. He may not like you for it and put a spell on you.

Then with out you knowing or realizing
it, you may start to have problems at work, you don't feel as good, or the family becomes
chaotic, relationships suddenly break up or you may be asking the
question, "Why are we fighting so much.". Many a parent have woken up in the night and experienced an evil
presence at their bed.
So now you have this spell on you. How are
you going to get rid of it?"

So that, ladies and gentlemen, this is one
of the problems of books like Harry Potter. We live in a world were God has all
but been eliminated and evil is all but triumphing.
There are few deliverance prayer groups and
even fewer Bishops who will authorized an exorcism. One Bishop did
publish in is weekly church bulletin a testimony of an ex-witch who became
a Christian minister. The
ex-witch said, among other things, that every one who brings home a Harry
Potter Book, brings home a devil. Discarding such books,
videos or DVDs has brought more peace in people's homes.
There a few things a person can do to that
can help to be free of such spells. These are as follows: keep clean and wholesome objects in their home, such as
blessed religious pictures and statues. Make the best use of prayer
(such as the Saint Michael the Archangel prayer by Pope Leo XIII), fasting,
using sacramentals properly such as the Brown Scapular,
Exorcised Holy Water, Exorcised Salt and Oils and Blessed Incense and
religious praise music.
For the person themselves, they should be
living in the state of grace by the proper use of the Sacraments, such as
Confession and Holy Communion and loving God and Neighbor with all their
heart through the intercession of Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
